In contrast to most of its competitors, Spreadshirt runs it's own print-on-demand production facilities at several production sites worldwide. This implies that we are developing the entire software stack that is required to steer all production-related processes, from order to fulfillment. We have therefore created a new position and are looking for you as an Engineering Manager with experience in building, managing and motivating high-performing cross-functional development teams. Your mission will be to transform the fulfillment-related components into a decoupled, concise portfolio of services that are independent from the rest of the Spreadshirt platform and develop it to the most concise and flexible print-on-demand fulfillment that's completely automated. As an Engineering Manager, you will report directly to our CTO and will be responsible for a team of 20 to 25 employees.

Your tasks

  • You will be part of the IT Leadership Team and will take over the disciplinary leadership of our Tech Employees and be responsible for their personal development
  • You will shape our development agenda and manage the engineers within their department in pertinent teams by keeping up the flexibility to form ad-hoc teams for special initiatives
  • You will steer and enhance communication and collaboration between DEV teams within and across all departments, the Product Owners and the stakeholders
  • You will ensure an efficient implementation of the department’s prioritized technical deliverables
  • You will identify opportunities and risks for delivering platform services and applications, including opportunities for technical innovation, assessment of obstacles and technical hurdles to foster business success
  • You will identify technology trends and evaluate their adoptability within Spreadshirt

Your profile

  • You have gained several years of management experience, and ideally, you already gained leadership experience within an international e-commerce company
  • You have excellent communication skills, solution orientation and sense of responsibility as well as a strong sense of initiative
  • You have a very good understanding of production processes and their constraints
  • You feel comfortable in an international company and speak English fluently, German is a plus
